What Comes In The Box
The order brings everything for your first event, assembled and calibrated: the robot, the software, credit for the first portraits and material to start selling.
- PictiaX® robot arm, with its mounting base and pen holder.
- PictiaX® software forever: the event portal and PictiaX® Bridge, with no expiry date.
- 500 PICTICOINS, which means 500 portraits that never expire.
- Two bases: 4 × 6" for one person and 6 × 8" for two.
- A content pack with marketing material and the legal wording for the service.
- PictiaX® Academy: ten short lessons inside the portal, plus the setup session.
The same license covers up to 6 arms. If you want a second arm, ask sales for the price. Every item is detailed on the complete system page.
Shipping And Import Duties
PictiaX® ships internationally under DAP terms (Incoterms 2020). That makes you the importer of record, so customs duties, import taxes and clearance charges are yours.
The 800 dollar de minimis exemption is suspended, so every shipment to the United States pays duty and needs formal entry. A customs broker can quote it before you order.
Shipping is quoted to your address and confirmed before you pay, so you know the landed cost up front. The detail is in our terms and conditions.
What Each Portrait Costs After You Buy
Each portrait uses one PICTICOIN, from $0.12. It covers reading the face, the line, the style and the branding layer of the drawing.
At that cost, the spend per event looks like this:
| Event | Portraits | PICTICOINS spend |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding | 100 | $13.40 to $19.00 |
| Brand activation | 180 | $24.15 to $34.20 |
| Trade show, two days | 400 | $53.65 to $76.00 |
The balance never expires, so a slow winter costs you nothing. There is no monthly software fee and no cloud fee on top.
How Many Events Until It Pays Off
The math is simple: $3,500 plus shipping and duties, divided by what you keep from each event, which is what you charge minus the PICTICOINS.
As a reference, US caricaturists publish $125 to $150 an hour with a two hour minimum, so your client is used to $250 to $300 for two hours of one artist.
Charge $600 for a 100 guest wedding and you keep about $586 after PICTICOINS, so six events cover the system before shipping and duties.

How It Works At An Event
The guest scans the event QR code with their own phone and takes the photo, so nobody lines up in front of the robot to be photographed.
They pick a style from the ones you switched on, the AI turns the face into a line drawing and the arm draws it in pen on paper in around 60 seconds.
One person sets it up in about ten minutes, and the arm and both bases fit in a small suitcase.
